The global spread of COVID-19 is affecting every one of us on a personal and professional level. It’s testing our resolve in whole new ways, from recovering from an illness or caring for a loved one, to working remote and navigating new social interactions. At HZO, our vision to protect what matters most to you has taken on a whole new meaning. It includes the safety of our employees, support for our communities, and service to our customers. We have, and will continue to remain diligent and flexible, following government and health guidelines, staying connected to our amazing workforce, and advancing the level of support and service we can provide the market.
We have instituted flexible work arrangements, asking individuals to work from home if their job allows. For those in our production facilities, we have asked them to follow social distancing recommendations and health guidelines. We have revisited our leave policies to accommodate personal circumstances, for everything from shelter in place to addressing childcare needs.
Finally, we have amended our travel policy to eliminate all but essential travel, technologically enabled our workforce to stay connected, and solicited expert advice on how to best support the new norm of the workday.
We our thankful to our colleagues in Greater China, who weathered the initial effect of this pandemic and we are glad to see infection rates finally dropping. Your determination, dedication, and spirit are to be commended. To our European colleagues and North American workforce, we know what you are capable of and continue to be in awe of your tireless hard work and diligence. It is this ethos that drives us to be better, work smarter, partner effectively, and continually push to delight our customers.
HZO will continue to do its part to help protect the world in which we live. In part through our dedication to next generation nano coatings that help protect our electronics from the most demanding environments – keeping phones functioning, cars running, and medical devices working.
